With a glorious win in La Doyenne, one of cycling’s five monuments, Philippe Gilbert (Omega Pharma-Lotto) completed a unique quadruple string of victories in the Ardennes week. The 28 year-old Bel, today became the first rider ever to win the Brabantse Pijl (La Flèche Brabançonne), Amstel Gold Race, Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège in a single season.
