10/28/2003 - Rudy Project Presents the 2004 Collection

Rudy Project, the famous Italian company, leader in the production of Technically Cool Eyewear, has just launched and presented the new 2004 collection on its website www.rudyproject.com.

“The presentation to our Distributors was made in Treviso in July, and after that we exhibited it at the Eurobike Show in Germany, the Optical Show in Sydney, the Eicma Show in Milan” – says Simone Barbazza - marketing manager and son of the founder, Rudy – “and right away we received a unanimous chorus of positive responses from every Country”. “We are about to conclude our presentation of the new products to the trade at the Optical Fair IOFT in Tokyo, and then they will go on sale in shops all over the World”.

"We decided to devote special attention to all those Athletes who wear progressive lenses to practice their favorite sport" – we are told by David Michaud, the dynamic young boss of the Design department – 2We understand the problems people have to deal with every day when they ski, race bicycles, play golf, etc., and have to find glasses that are esthetically pleasing and at the same time functional”.

“It is with this spirit that we developed the Kabryo model with a frame in light weight German silver that can fit prescription lenses and is equipped with a Clip On for sunglass lenses that are millimetrically adjustable, with temples and nose pads that are also adjustable”.

Another important product designed by the talented hand of Michaud is the Ketyum™ model. It is a real concentration of technology. The most prestigious product yet to come out of the Rudy Project plant. Years of research and development made it possible to create a frame in Kinetyum™ metal, composed of Magnesium, Titanium and Silicium. It has interchangeable lenses, adjustable temples and nose pads.

In addition to Kabryo™and Ketyum™, Rudy Project has other important new products: Kybo™, for people with small faces, the Hyde™ rimless frame – equipped with 2 kits of lenses and entirely adjustable, Cyndrik™ and Tretyon™ with their Sport/fashion look, Jack Vista for prescription lenses, and the special Golf collection including Rydon™, Freeon™, Perception™ and Kerosene™.

As regards the lens program, we recommend that you go more into depth on the subject by visiting www.rudyproject.com in the section RP Optics™ where you can find detailed information about the new polarized Polar 100™ lenses and the Tek, Laser™, Smoke lenses™.

In addition to the eyewear catalog, Rudy Project has launched a completely new casual line Sport bags, Golf accessories and apparel that will be stocked in the Rudy Project stores it has already opened in Asia.

“I have to say” - continues David Michaud – “that thanks to all the suggestions of our over 65 Distributor throughout the world, and the continuous feedback I get directly from Rudy (founder of Rudy Project) – the challenge of developing new solutions and innovative products is always stimulating and exciting”.

We have no difficulty in saying the Rudy Project catalog is one of the most competitive in the world as regards the niche of sports eyewear.

But Rudy doesn`t stop there and does not want to appear too self-celebratory of its leadership in this sector.
